Support Our Spartans (SOS) Student Emergency Fund

There are times when emergencies and urgent demands arise that we aren’t financially prepared to take on. Each year, there are many MSU students caught off guard by unforeseen emergency situations and turn to MSU for assistance. Donor support to university-wide emergency funds creates the opportunity to remove potential roadblocks on the path to graduation.

With your gift, MSU can help students in need purchase food, make the monthly payment on their health insurance, travel home during an emergency, and many other unforeseen expenses.

Give to the SOS fund and support students facing unexpected expenses due to an emergency

Through the Support Our Spartans Student (SOS) Emergency Needs Fund, the Division of Student Life & Engagement provides students with immediate financial support to cover educational costs and unanticipated expenses when hardships arise such as accidents, illness, death of a family member, fire damage or need for temporary housing.
