Nursing Skills Bag Fund

All undergraduate nursing students are required to purchase a “skills bag” filled with medical equipment and supplies necessary to practice fundamental nursing competencies during clinical rotations. These materials enable our future Spartan nurses to confidently perform procedures like taking vital signs, wound care, and medication administration. The hands-on learning experience is crucial in preparing them for real-world patient care situations. 

At the cost of $200, these essential kits can be a barrier to already financially burdened students. Included in the skills bags are items such as wound care trays and kits, foley trays and kits, trach care kits, central line kits, a stethoscope, BP cuffs, gait belts and safety glasses.

Equipping Spartan nursing students with skills bags lightens their financial burden while empowering them to focus on what truly matters; becoming compassionate and competent caregivers.

All those who donate will have the opportunity to submit a customized note, which will be placed within the skills bag of a BSN student who is beginning their nursing journey. A link to create a note will be sent via email following your donation.
