MSU Mini-Museum Classroom Fund

At the MSU Museum we value an inclusive environment for students who will shape tomorrow and act as leaders in their communities. Whether they are envisioning life on Mars, advocating for social justice, or researching African masks, students benefit from hands-on, active learning strategies that the Museum provides through science specimens and cultural objects.

The mini-museum classroom will create a resource center and learning space within an elementary classroom in the Lansing School District, containing science specimens and cultural objects from around the world that students can handled and analyze.

Help MSU student teachers teach and Lansing students learn

The Mini-Museum Classroom Fund provides funding for two MSU students to engage young people from the Lansing School District in active hands-on learning with science specimens and cultural objects. Through mentorship with museum professionals and classroom teachers, MSU students will have the opportunity to develop innovative educational programs.
