Lyman Briggs Learning Assistants Endowment Fund

This fund supports undergraduate learning assistants in Lyman Briggs College (LBC). The learning assistant program is one of the fundamental elements that makes a Lyman Briggs education so unique. Learning assistants play an important role in the college, facilitating collaboration and instruction in classroom labs, under the guidance of a faculty member. They assist with course instruction, maintaining labs and grading exams, among other duties. This valuable work experience reinforces their own understanding of the LBC curriculum, and allows them to serve as role models to junior students in adapting to the rigors of college study and life.

Give to Lyman Briggs College and help support learning assistants

Learning assistants receive a stipend each semester as payment for their work. And while many faculty and teaching assistants on campus are paid through grant monies, that is not the case in Lyman Briggs. Currently, stipends are paid through discretionary funds. Your gift will alleviate the need to use discretionary funding, which may then be utilized in other critical areas.
