MSU College of Law Clinical Programs
The MSU Law Clinic transforms classroom learning into meaningful service. Under the guidance of faculty attorneys, students represent real clients through eight clinical programs, including the Chance at Childhood, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Law, First Amendment, Housing Justice, Immigration Law, Indian Law, Public Defender, and Alvin L. Storrs Low-Income Taxpayer Clinics. This work provides life-changing support to individuals and communities who might otherwise go without legal help—while giving students invaluable experience as advocates.
Through these clinical programs, students take on real responsibility—meeting with clients, drafting filings, and appearing in court—developing the skills they will carry throughout their careers. We aim for every MSU Law student to take part in a clinical program, preparing them to enter the profession as skilled, ethical leaders committed to purposeful impact. Support for the Law Clinic directly fuels access to justice and empowers the next generation of Spartan lawyers to make a lasting impact in the world.
Your gift to MSU Law Clinical Programs will empower future Spartan lawyers to represent clients, strengthen communities, and champion justice.
Your support strengthens MSU Law Clinical Programs by investing in the faculty leadership that enables more students to gain hands-on experience serving real clients. In addition, your support will provide resources for students to travel to work with clients, strengthening their hands-on experience while increasing access to justice for individuals and communities in need.
