Honors College

A Vibrant Hub of Innovation and Community for the Honors College

August 2025 Campbell Hall will re-open and welcome 4,000+ Honors College students into a living-learning community. It will be:

  • A large and welcoming place for all Honors College students.
  • Flexible, adaptive space for students to deepen their sense of belonging within the Honors College.
  • Bridging academic and social silos so students have opportunities to learn from each other through different frameworks and lenses.
  • Creating synergy through experiences such as Honors Research Scholars and the Academic Scholars Program.

By supporting our initiatives, you′re elevating the reputation of the university as a leader in Honors education.

Your generosity will:

  • Strengthen Bonds: Facilitate social and professional networking opportunities, connecting students with mentors and peers.
  • Cultivate Community Impact: Encourage community service and ethical leadership, empowering students to give back.
  • Spark Innovation: Promote research, discussion and showcases, fostering a culture of inquiry and discovery.

Campbell Hall Renovation for the Honors College

The Campbell Hall renovation project provides space for all Honors College students to pursue excellence in cutting-edge research and community engagement. It will also serve as a residence hall for nearly 300 Honors students.

Academic Scholars Program

Your support of the Honors College Academic Scholars Program empowers 200 incoming first-year, first-generation and/or low-income students to pursue a path into the Honors College.

Honors College Research Scholars Program

The Honors College is a leader in the country for undergraduate student research. Every $5,000 provides a NEW paid research opportunity for a student. A student shared: “The preliminary research I completed allowed me to transition to a research assistantship in Montpellier, France with MSU’s Dr. Tarabara through [a program] that is funded and sponsored by the National Science Foundation.”
