MSU Excavations at Isthmia Fieldwork
Permission to excavate in Greece is very limited and closely controlled by the government. Each year, dozens of American archaeological projects compete for one or two available permits. This is our year! In summer 2025, the MSU Excavations will excavate parts of a Roman-era bath building in the northern part of the site where we will uncover more evidence of the buildings that were here since the Classical period. Your contribution will assist the Isthmia Excavation in fielding a team of six students to assist with the excavation. Your donation will help to pay for their cost of participation. Fieldwork is an essential part of every archaeologist’s training. Your support makes the students’ experience possible.
