College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Alumni Association Scholarship Fund

This fund provides support for alumni program activities, scholarships, student clubs, and other student activities. The majority of this fund supports the CANR Alumni Association’s Student Club Grant Program. Each student club that participates in the CANR Student Senate or a graduate student organization is eligible to submit a grant request for $1,000 for a special project (more if it is hosting a regional/national conference on campus). Since 2008 — the first year offered — 166 grants have been awarded, totaling over $120,000 and benefiting more than 2,000 students. We are only able to support roughly half of the amount of funding that is requested.

On Give Green Day, show your support for CANR student clubs.

In the last year, these grants have helped 11 clubs in the college send students to national industry meetings or competitions, where we have brought back many highly ranked award recognitions. In addition, they have supported several graduate student research symposiums and a K-12 outreach program exposing our professional career opportunities. This level of national presence increases the value of the degrees of all of our alumni.
